smoutch

“Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.”

comme un zombie, je suis hypnotisée par les lumières

Christmas market and the lights... I could roam around the city center all night despite the cold. Just imagine... The smell of mulled wine, cinnamon churros, and spices (but not raclette, cause that shit's nasty) filling the air. Le sigh. Why don't such things exist to the same extent in the U.S.?

que ferai-je?

Ok, nerds. It's t-minus ten days till I'm state-side and I've been thinking about things I want to do in the limited time I will be home. Besides visiting people, I've made an itinerary:

1. Sleep in my big, enormous, lovely, pillow covered bed which does not turn into a sofa during the day.
2. Two words: Mexican food.
3. Repeat one and two.

Glorious. Am I missing something? No. Awesome.
